byron@1977thecomic.com BioBorn in southern Illinois but have lived primarily in the suburbs of Chicago most of my life. Trained as a Network Television Nightly News Director, I ended up working in corporate America where I learned the ins and outs of business. Started my own video company in 1986 and have enjoyed many levels of success. In 2000 I developed and sold a PC based video editing system for a global broadcast distributor. A partner in my company bailed in 2004 leaving me broke and out of business. As I turned 50 years old in 2007, I decided a career change was in order. I turned to my first love: drawing cartoons. I always wanted to be a cartoonist and never seemed to go down that path. I started my first webcomic, "1977 the Comic," June 1st of 2007 and seem to be developing an audience.
